Seven Things Saturday - August 2024

Aug 30, 2024Kimberly Crider

Hey BeautyGARDE Community! It's Kim Crider, CEO here at BeautyGARDE. I'm back for another seven things Saturday. Read on for a random chaotic blend of thoughts from my heart to yours.

Fall 2024

Did you already see our new Fall 2024 collection?! This collection was inspired by the stories we tell and the possibilities we can create. I think this might be my favorite five shades we’ve released to date (except for Unicorn because it’s a dream). I’ve been wearing Stranger Worlds as my go to neutral since March of this year because it’s just that good.

Pumpkin Spice Latte

I think there’s two types of people in the world - those who get ready for fall after July 4th and those who wait til September 1st. I am definitely in the July 5th group and my husband has been making pumpkin spice syrup for my lattes since then. Tag us on IG with your favorite fall drink + manicure and my team will pick one person to send a gift card to!

Colder Weather

The weather is getting colder which means your nails need a little extra TLC. My suggestion? Take care of your cuticle build up with Vanish Cuticle Remover and follow with a whole lot of Guardian all over your cuticles and nail plate. Let Guardian soak in for at least 20 minutes before rinsing with warm water. Think of it as a hydration mask for your nails! Please make sure to not paint or do a manicure with oil on your nails as it will cause peeling.

Back To School

Did the summer go by so fast for anyone else?! My oldest starts kindergarten next week and I am not okay. She requested that we both wear Emerald City for the first day of school and I hope the matching never ends.

Halloween Costumes

Is it too early to start thinking about Halloween? My girls are requesting to all be different types of cats and naturally I have to plan a polish to go with it (yes we watch Mouse a Cookie). But I know the second we get the cat costumes they’re going to change their mind so it’s a fun game of wait until the last minute or deal with the tantrum that will probably come from buying too early. Anyone else relate?!

Fall Book List

We love to read over hear at BG and are planning our fall book lists. So far, we have The Lost Bookshop, The Silent Patient, and Adelaide but would love suggestions from you! Just comment on the blog and we’ll be able to see them!

10,000 Steps

I’ve been on a mission to hit 10,000 steps a day and it is so much harder than I thought it would be. So far I have been walking on a walking pad and going on long walks with my family - do any of you hit this every day and if so will you share your tips with me in the comments?!

Thank you for reading along! I’ll see you next month!
