How To Use

Apply one thin layer of base coat onto clean, dry nails, painting under the nail for longer wear. Allow to touch dry completely before applying your favorite polish.

Store in a cool, dry and dark place. Heat exposure can cause product to thicken in the bottle or bubble when applied to nails.

Love this base coat, kind of acts like a primer, helps the polish to really stick to the nail bed which keeps the mani fresh and perfect longer.

I was thrilled to try BeautyGarde's new GRIP Color Lock Base Coat. My thought was that this means it will hold the color to my nails better. A great idea, infused with BG's the antioxidants and plant extracts that are so good for your nails. I found the polish to be thinner than I expected. A little went a long way. It went on smoothly and leveled out quickly. The real test, is adding the color. I capped my nails like I always do with color. Within 24 hours, the polish is ALWAYS worn off the edges of my nails. NOT WITH GRIP! Three days later, my edges still have color on them! Highly recommend this base coat!

I LOVE this basecoat. Rocket nail fuel will still be my preferred basecoat for my fingernails, but this is a perfect solution for my pedi problems. I have very small nailbeds on my toes, which makes it hard to keep polish off the skin, and they often start chipping or peeling off next day. I tried Grip with both a Beauty Garde polish on my fingers and one from another brand on my toes, and I'm currently at 5 days chip free which is unheard of for my toenail polish. I'm excited to see how it does once pool season starts :)

A gripping base coat like this is a must for any long lasting manicure! I also love that it's a little bit thicker than usual base coats you find, as I find it helps give a little protection to the nail as well. Gives you a smooth application & base for whatever you'd want to put on top!

Wow wow wow I love this base coat! It went on smooth and dried fast. I have ridges from pushing too hard when applying press ons a few months ago, so I’ve been religiously using ridge filler for the last 6 months. Using only Grip as a base without ridge filler, I was super thrilled with how little I could see the ridges! This has found a permanent place in my regime!

Applies very smoothly, with the new wider brush. It made my polish look less bumpy compared to applying it on bare nails alone (polish is from another brand). The reason for deducting one star is I personally prefer using Rocket Nail Fuel in order to keep my natural nails long and strong.

This product truly exceed my expectations! First, I applied Grip to my nails..all it took was one coat. Then, I applied Electric Rose (2 coats) and an accent nail with Legend (just one coat). Let me say, the glitter has never clung to my nail this exact way in the past. It spread so evenly and stuck to my nail without moving around at all! I would highly recommend using the Grip base coat for any glitter products you have around. Amazing results even for someone who likes their nails short and square and has a hard time painting colors! Love it :)

Just for a chance to try it and I really love it! It creates a nice clear base layer to put your polish over! It dries very quickly and doesn’t interfere with the polish application at all! I’ve been wearing it and washing my hands a lot with no tip wear yet!

I used 24 karat because this is gold! I would say wait an hour or so to let it mold onto the nail and give a good dry. The feel is completely different. I keep rubbing my fingers on my nail tips. They feel almost sealed. Because I bead I use my nail tips a lot and this is usually where I get the first signs of wear. My nails feel…. Light yet incredibly durable. I don’t know how else to explain it lol. An exceptional product and addition to our line. This is n absolute go to that I will keep a back up bottle at all times.
