The Story Behind The Shade

When reflecting on our go to phrase “what color were you wearing when” as we choose and mix our nail polish, this yellow shade made me instantly think of the song I always sing to my son, “You are My Sunshine”.

My journey to motherhood was not at all how I expected. After a journey of fertility treatments, I was pregnant with our miracle little sunshine. From the moment we knew he could hear us in the womb, my husband and I began to sing “You Are My Sunshine” every night before bed to him. Once he was born, we continued to sing this song to him before bed. This song has always been a special moment for us at the end of each day. He is now a year and a half and to this day, he instantly snuggles and finds comfort when we sing it to him. Now that the long summer days are approaching, his favorite thing to do is go outside together in the sunshine and explore the world around him. We love finding all the beautiful moments in nature during such sun filled days. This polish was created to represent these special moments spent as a family and what a bright light my son is to me every day.
